Local Architectural Firm Leverages the Internet to Facilitate Document Sharing with Clients

Hudson, MA – June 15, 2004 – Glenn Davis Architects is excited to announce the firm’s new capabilities for document sharing for their residential clients, offering advanced file sharing capabilities that have been used extensively for corporate clients. Residential clients will now be able to view drawings, perspective views, reports and meeting notes by a simple click on the Glenn Davis Architects (GDA) website. This capability will allow clients to view drawings up close, view animation of their project and discuss requested modifications, while viewing the documents electronically.

The concept of file sharing has grown rapidly for the corporate world as a means to reduce travel costs, increase communication and reduce project duration. For our residential clients, GDA views the document sharing capabilities as a means to allow clients to view documents and drawings at their leisure to allow better understanding of design concepts, review of to-do items or proposed product specifications, or to simply view perspective models that GDA commonly provides their clients as part of their extensive residential services. Clients will now be able to view drawings and documents while simultaneously communicating with GDA via telephone to discuss relevant project issues.

Residential clients will be provided a user ID and password to visit our secure website to view drawings, notes, photographs, or specifications at their leisure. After viewing documents or drawings, clients will be able to communicate by telephone or email to discuss topics of interest with GDA. Face to face meetings will continue to be held on a regular basis, but communication between meetings will be fostered and requested modifications can be made prior to meetings. Updates on drawings will now be posted on the GDA website, allowing clients to view the progress of their residential design and remain involved in all design aspects of their renovated or new home.
