Biography

Glenn R. Davis, founder and principal of Glenn Davis Architects, has been an architect for twenty years and offers the unique combination of financial consulting and architectural services. In addition to being licensed in Massachusetts, Glenn received his MBA at Babson College, focusing on real estate and finance. As a real estate consultant, Glenn provided portfolio analysis and outsourcing guidance for Fortune 500 firms and banks within the Federal Reserve system.

Companies and institutions have used Mr. Davis to develop real estate portfolio and facility benchmarks, to evaluate buy/lease decisions, expand or consolidate real estate portfolios, and evaluate life cycle costs. Based on Glenn’s analysis, firms have often sought outsource providers for facility management and product purchasing activities. Additionally, Davis has used his knowledge of data benchmarking to develop construction unit cost data for the healthcare and university sectors in Boston.

Mr. Davis started his own practice in 2002 to provide his unique blend of architectural and benchmarking services to private companies, educational and public institutions. Mr. Davis has designed libraries, dining facilities, dormitories and classrooms for institutions such as Radcliffe College in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, Connecticut. In addition, Mr. Davis has vast expertise in designing laboratory spaces for clients such as Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Medical Center. Mr. Davis commonly provides accessibility solutions for commercial and institutional clients seeking to improve their facilities for clients.

Mr. Davis has presented seminars for the last two years at Build Boston, the premier design, engineering and construction industry convention in the northeast U.S. In the past, Mr. Davis has spoken on benchmarking for architectural firms, outsourcing services and the request-for-proposal (RFP) process. Mr. Davis’ philosophy of outsourcing services to experts follows his own business model, where he regularly utilizes architectural, engineering and marketing consultants to best meet client needs for specialized knowledge.
